Here we go again
So, I decided to start a blog. Again. Apparently, when I came to this site, I saw that I had started one in 2009. I had 8 or 9 posts, then life must have gotten in the way. That's part of the reason this one isn't going public just yet. I have a very bad habit of starting things and not finishing them. The funny thing is, it's a lot of the same stuff I'm coming here for now smdh.
What's the point? Will I actually do anything with this one? Who knows. But, life needs to stop speeding by and I need to stop and smell the roses. There are so many things I want, and need, to do. Exercise. Change my diet. Give up soda (yes, this is different than changing my diet). Have a gratitude journal. I made a list of things I want to accomplish in 2019:
Organize my digital photo libraries (yes, I said libraries. I have 3 computers, a hard drive and a phone full of them).
Have my nature photos in an art exhibit
Get back into photography (are you seeing a theme here?)
Start a gift wrap business during the holiday season (working on that now)
Paint my bedroom and get new flooring (we have done NO updates since building our house almost 20 years ago)
Paint the living room and hallway - begin working towards a "grown up" house. I am 45, after all, shouldn't that happen some time?
I want to be a better person internally. I want to do a better job appreciating what I have. I want to enjoy life, not be ready to move on to the next thing the second I get something I've been waiting for.
I want to make all kinds of changes, I want to do them all now, and I want to stick with them forever. That's my problem. It's not going to happen, I've tried, over and over. So, I will pick one thing. And I will do it for 30 days. I will put everything here. Or, at least, that's my intention this moment.
My first 30 days to better will be yoga. I will practice it at least 5 times a week for the next 4 weeks. Want to join me? I will be using Yoga with Adriene on YouTube. She is amazing. She is awesome. She is awesomely amazing. This morning I did Sunrise Yoga. Later tonight I'll spend some time queuing up videos for the rest of the week. Or I'll be watching Ozark.
